Mexico defeated Saudi Arabia 2-1 in the last match of Group C, but it was not enough to qualify for the round of 16 of the Qatar 2022 World Cup due to goal difference.

The first goal for the Mexicans came from Henry Martin, while the second was scored by Luis Chávez. However, in the final part of the match, Al-Dawsari scored a consolation goal.

The Mexican National Team entered the match with only one point in the group table. They drew 0-0 with Poland and lost 2-0 to Argentina. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia was seeking a victory to qualify for the round of 16. The Middle Eastern team started the tournament with a 2-1 win against Argentina, but then lost 2-0 to Poland.

LEAVING THE NATIONAL TEAM

Following the Mexican national team's defeat, it is known that Gerardo Martino's days are numbered and he will not continue as Mexico's coach. The Argentine coach has decided not to renew, despite leading the "Tri" to participate in the World Cup.
