America ended Puebla's hopes of turning the overall result around. In less than 28 minutes, the 'Águilas' defeat them 2-0 in the second leg of the quarterfinals and secure their place in the semifinals of the Apertura of Liga MX.

At minute 21, Roger Martínez played a filtered pass for Brian Rodríguez. The Uruguayan player, who was coming from the left wing, entered the box and took a powerful shot that Antony Silva tried to contain, however, the ball inflated the net.
