Luis Olivas wants to establish himself with Chivas in the Apertura 2022.

The novel of Orbelín Pineda at Guadalajara does not seem to conclude in what the rojiblancos fans wanted. Chivas is finalizing preparations for the beginning of Apertura 2022 with only two new incorporations, one of them from a player who was from the club, but there is confidence in being able to do things well, as expressed by Luis Olivas.

"I see it as a very competitive team position by position, we have good elements. We have important national team players who help us a lot. Right now we have a good squad and the decisions will be made by the coach. We are focused on doing things well to bring joy to the fans," commented the Rebaño's youth product.

Although he had to cede protagonism in the fight for a position in the center, Olivas recognizes that it is part of football and that motivates him to regain the starting position. The native of Tepic hopes to continue contributing to the internal competition, as he believes that both individual players and the team benefit from it.

Regarding what could change for this Apertura 2022, Luis is self-critical and acknowledges that he still has a lot to learn from the experienced people in the squad. Although he is not a guaranteed starter in Ricardo Cadena's team, he hopes that his role can grow in the coming seasons.

"I see myself being an important substitute in the institution because I have a short journey, one year in the First Division, I still need to consolidate. In a few years, I will have a more important role in the team, I have learned from them, I have seen their trajectory and I think I want to be like them. I see myself having a great responsibility in the team in a few years," he expressed.

Olivas reiterated the pending debt of Guadalajara with its fans but affirmed that they are doing everything possible to bring the team back to the forefront. He trusts in Ricardo Cadena's project and hopes that they can have a positive start to the season to create the necessary synergy that allows them to be protagonists in this Apertura 2022.
