Moisés Llorens, ESPN correspondent in Barcelona, revealed the interest of the Diablos in the Celta de Vigo player
Toluca is in search of more reinforcements for the 2022 Apertura Tournament and now joins the teams trying to sign Orbelín Pineda, a player from Celta de Vigo from Spain.
"Toluca is insisting a lot on the signing of Orbelín Pineda from Celta," Moisés Llorens, ESPN correspondent in Barcelona, posted on his social networks.
In previous days, rumors had emerged that Chivas were interested in the services of Orbelín Pineda, but now the Diablos Rojos are in the fight to obtain the services of the player.
The player has had little activity in Spanish soccer and because of that, Mexican clubs are looking for him to return to soccer in this country for the next Apertura 2022 tournament.
Orbelín Pineda emigrated to Celta de Vigo after his time in Cruz Azul, a team where he stood out and that allowed him to attract the attention of teams from the old continent.
For now, the player's future is unknown, but for now Toluca seeks to have him for the next season in which they will fight to be protagonists, after having fallen short of winning in the Clausura 2022.
The Mexican team finished the previous season in fifteenth place in the general table with 19 points, which left them out of the playoffs, so now they will fight to improve their performance.
