Anderson Santamaría will play the final of the Liga MX with Atlas after defeating Pumas in the semifinals.
The last Sunday, both teams faced each other again in the second-leg match that ended with controversy where the Peruvian defender is the protagonist.
It turns out that at minute 86, the central defender of the Peruvian national team fought for a header with Juan Dinenno, who ended up worse off by receiving an unintentional elbow in the face. The play was reviewed by VAR to see if it deserved a card and a penalty, but the referee did not sanction anything. However, the striker from the university team had to receive medical attention due to a nosebleed.

A day later, the feline club published Dinenno's medical report, which revealed the seriousness that resulted from the collision with Santamaría.
"Comminuted fracture of the nasal bones, fracture of the nasal septum, and lacerated wounds at the nasal dorsum. He will undergo surgery today. Recovery time: approximately one month," reads the statement published by Pumas on Twitter.
