Alex Morgan, player of the United States national team, and Servando Carrasco, player of Los Angeles Galaxy from MLS, announced on social media the expectation of their first child.
Morgan, member of the United States women's national team that won the World Cup earlier this year in France, and Carrasco, midfielder of the Los Angeles Galaxy, made the announcement on Wednesday on social media.
They posed with a sign that said: "Adding one more to the family... It's a girl and she will arrive in April 2020".
Alex Morgan added on Twitter: "We already love her and we haven't even met her yet. The newest member of the Carrasco family will be here soon".
Alex Morgan had to end her season with the Orlando Pride in the National Women's Soccer League due to a knee injury.
The American star and Carrasco met at the University of California, where they both played soccer. They got married in 2014, on New Year's Eve.
Carrasco has dual nationality, American and Mexican. He spent much of his childhood in the border city of Tijuana.
