The future of Agustín Marchesín and Mateus Uribe seems to be far from América, since Miguel Herrera has confirmed Porto's interest. In the face of urgency, the 'Piojo' could turn to players he currently has in his squad without waiting for reinforcements. ESPN Digital presents the options that the coach has in case he loses both players.

Óscar Jiménez

The 30-year-old goalkeeper arrived at the Coapa team in 2017, however, since then he has been Marchesín's substitute, even only participating in Sub-20 matches and some in the Copa MX, but he has not yet made his debut in the Liga MX with the blue-cream colors.

Luis Zamudio

At 21 years of age, he was registered as the third goalkeeper for Los Águilas for the Apertura 2019. The goalkeeper born in California, United States, has been part of the lower categories for three years, when he arrived for the Sub-17. He has also been under the three goalposts in the Second Division, Premier League, and Sub-20, but has not yet been called up to the first team.

Fernando González

América signed him for the Apertura 2019 with the intention of not being caught off guard by Edson Álvarez's departure to Ajax. The 25-year-old player has already made his debut with the plumage in the opening match against Monterrey, a match in which he played 20 minutes.

Leonel López

He was the last player to join América's ranks. Although he is an attacking player, he could play in the center of the field alongside Guido Rodríguez, a position he is familiar with, as he has played there on several occasions during his time at León and Toluca.

Sebastián Córdova

If the option of resorting to the youth academy arises, there is the option of the 22-year-old player, who made his debut with Necaxa in August 2018. Despite appearing in the top flight with the Rayos, Córdova was developed in the América youth teams, representing them since the Sub-15. Although his vocation is more offensive, he was placed as a second holding midfielder in the preseason.
