MEXICO -- Five Mexican players celebrated the Gold Cup title and a week later are preparing to compete for the Supercopa MX and Liga BBVA MX Champion of Champions titles, with few days of rest.

Goalkeeper Hugo González celebrated the CONCACAF championship and immediately traveled to Los Angeles, California, to join Necaxa, who will compete in the Super Copa Mx against Cruz Azul in the United States. Orbelín Pineda and Roberto Alvarado joined La Máquina celeste four days after winning the championship with the national team and are ready to fight for the title that recognizes the best team in the Copa MX of the year.

In the Liga MX Champion of Champions, Edson Álvarez was scheduled to report with América from July 12 and Luis Rodriguez trained with Tigres from July 11. The only one absent from those who won the Gold Cup title is Carlos Salcedo, who will report until July 15 due to a special permission requested from the club's management.

Of the five players who will seek their second title in the month of July, Rodríguez is the one who had the most wear, as he played 510 minutes with the national team and played five out of the six games that Mexico played in the Gold Cup.
