The team led by Uruguayan Diego Alonso started the league with two away matches and won both: first at Pachuca's home, by 0-1, and then at León's stadium, by 0-2.
Meanwhile, Puebla, who started the Copa MX with a victory over Venados (1-0), began the Liga with a defeat at Cruz Azul's home and then won at home against Toluca by 2-1.
