Rafael Puente Jr. presented as new coach of Querétaro
With excitement and gratitude at its peak in this new opportunity to be in the coaching staff of a Mexican First Division football club, Rafael Puente Jr. was presented as the new strategist of the Querétaro team.
After being fired from Lobos BUAP before the end of the regular phase of the Clausura 2018 Tournament in the Liga MX, Puente del Río analyzed several offers and had no doubts in choosing Gallos Blancos to continue his career.
"We identified with the invitation, it was not complicated at all, it is a team that has clearly defined the direction we want to build for the future," declared the new coach of the queretanos at a press conference.
"It is a privilege, I am filled with greater joy, I am still living my dream. The objective is very clear, it is defined. Thanks to teamwork we had the privilege of being called by this great institution and sitting down to know what they wanted. We fully identify with the project and decided to accept," he added.
He made it clear that the sum of all efforts will be vital, from the owner of the team to the person who may have a less important role in the institution.
"If we all act in isolation and individual efforts, we become small boats that end up sinking, here the objective is to turn them into a gigantic ship working as a team, the path will be thorny, it will have difficulties, but if we are united and are a great boat in the face of any adversity, we will know how to overcome and move forward," he urged.
He sent a message to the Querétaro fans, who are an important support in the club's development:
"You (fans) are the fuel of this ship. Have the certainty and guarantee that the team will give everything and leave it all on the field. I cannot promise you a result, but I can promise you a team that represents you with dignity. Feel free to demand. A pleasure to have you here."
He emphasized that the shield of Gallos Blancos de Querétaro will always be above any individual, so each one of them is part of this new plan and must strive for the common good.
Rafael Puente will have these days to assemble the squad he will have for the Apertura 2018 of the Liga MX and will have to consider the departures and arrivals of players in order to recover the prominence that Querétaro had just a few years ago, when they reached their first final in the First Division in 2015.
