The Eagles of America have historically made excellent signings that have served them well and have yielded very good results. However, they have also made deals that seem to have not been profitable enough, and in other cases, they have literally been disastrous.
One of them is letting go of Mexican midfielder Jesús Molina, who won two league titles with America and was later swapped for Colombian forward Darwin Quintero, a deal that was not profitable at all for the American team.
Today we will see him on the field again, but now as an opponent, as his current team Rayados from Monterrey will visit the Estadio Azteca. Although Molina now wears a different jersey, he still acknowledges his loyalty to America and gave the following words in an interview.
"The moment I arrived, it was a moment of great joy, of great pride. Having arrived at a club that I loved as a child and then experiencing the championships, being part of the history of such an important club will leave a mark on me for the rest of my life," confessed Molina.
"I enjoyed both championships equally because after being sent off and seeing all the effort my teammates put in to win the game, being in the group's environment, in the locker room, I really enjoyed it," added the Mexican.
