The current champion of the Copa MX is unstoppable, the Rayados made their debut at home with a 3-1 victory over Correcaminos from the Ascenso League.
Despite only 19,493 fans attending and playing a large part of the match with one less player after the expulsion of Juan Álvarez, Monterrey offered a good performance and took the victory thanks to the goals by Carlos Sánchez (31') and Jorge Benítez (35'), as well as the own goal by Jesús Moreno (19').
Luis Loroña scored the goal for the Tamaulipas team, after having missed a penalty in the first half.
SANTOS BEAT DIABLOS
The football club Santos Laguna defeated Diablos Rojos from Toluca 2-1 in the third matchday of the Copa MX, in a game corresponding to group four of this competition that left the scarlet team on the verge of elimination.
The goals of the match for the Laguna team were scored by Uruguayan Bryan Lozano at 28 minutes of the first half and Argentine Julio César Furch at 70 minutes; Rodrigo Salinas scored for Toluca at 65.
With this result, Santos Laguna leads group four with six points, while Toluca remains in second place with only one point out of six possible, so their passage to the next round begins to complicate.
