Pachuca dominated Zacatepec and with a "double" from Japanese Keisuke Honda, they thrashed them 5-0 at the Hidalgo stadium to qualify for the quarterfinals of the MX Apertura 2017 Cup, where they will face Xolos de Tijuana.

The goal feast began with Erick Gutierrez in the 16th minute, followed by Honda's two goals (35 and 44), Chilean Angelo Sagal (54), and Argentine German Ezequiel Cano (59).

The "Cañeros" took the initiative in the match and had the first chance to score, but they failed; Tuzos did not forgive and Gutierrez opened the scoring after the first quarter of an hour with a precise header.

Honda scored a great goal with his left foot from outside the box to increase the lead, and the same Japanese player entered the box at full speed in the 44th minute to score his second goal of the night and send his team with a three-goal advantage into halftime.

Zacatepec started the second half with the desire to harm their opponent's goal, but without success. In a strong counterattack, Sagal, who was accompanied by four teammates and two rivals, was the one who scored the fourth of the night with his left foot inside the box.

Sagal entered the box alone in the 59th minute and passed the ball to newly-substituted German Cano, who scored the definitive goal of the night and has the Hidalgo team among the top eight clubs of the cup tournament.

The referee of the match was Roberto Rios, who had an acceptable performance. He showed a yellow card to Ghanaian Jacob Akrong and Juan Angel Neria from the visiting team, as well as to local player Oscar Murillo. He expelled "tuzo" Emmanuel Garcia with a straight red card in the 85th minute.
