Transfer Market Note
During the Transfer Market for the Apertura 2017 tournament, 79 operations were carried out, with a total amount of 684 million pesos, among the 18 teams that make up the Mexican soccer league.
There were players who seemed like good prospects for more than one club, due to their experience and proven quality in Mexican football. However, many of them were left without a team, or in a transferable list that brings a lot of uncertainty about their future; even forcing them to seek luck in other countries since the registrations have closed.
Here we tell you who is in one of these situations:
Darwin Quintero
The Colombian midfielder was one of the players who led the América's transferable list for the Apertura 2017, due to his irregular activity with the Coapa team.
It was thought that the midfielder would be quickly signed by some team, like Xolos or Santos; however, as the hours passed in the draft war rooms, Quintero's name was not being mentioned.
The Transfer Market was closed, the teams sealed their signings, few or many, and the name of the Colombian did not appear in any of the 18 Liga MX teams.
Darvin Chávez
As usually happens, every six months there are always players who roam the draft trying to find a place in some team in the top league or in the Ascenso MX.
One of the cases in this Transfer Market was the Olympic champion in London 2012, Darvin Chávez, who had a free pass from Veracruz.
After all negotiations were closed, Chávez did not appear in any of the signings, even though he was seen talking to several coaches.
Jonathan Fabbro
Despite Carlos López Chargoy's assurance that all the players from the now disappeared Jaguares de Chiapas have been accommodated, the future of the Paraguayan is still unknown, as he does not appear registered in any team, neither in Liga MX nor in Ascenso.
In the Clausura 2017, Fabbro was one of the players who stood out the most in the jungle team, scoring four goals.
Paulo da Silva
The Paraguayan legend, multi-champion with Toluca, was one of the players who did not fit in the plans of the scarlets for the Apertura 2017 and despite his great career throughout national football, no one secured the services of the Paraguayan international.
Darío Verón
A similar case to Da Silva's is Darío Verón, a player who once gave a lot to Pumas de la Universidad.
He was not part of the plans of the auriazul team for the Apertura 2017 and his departure was surrounded by controversy.
He was rumored to join teams like Cruz Azul; however, no one showed interest in the services of the Paraguayan world cup defender, who may look for an opportunity abroad.
Joao Rojas
Initially, the Ecuadorian showed at La Máquina the quality that had distinguished him in the Monarcas team, he even became a very important player in the Blue team's play scheme.
Despite this, for some tournaments now, the midfielder showed a considerable decline in his performances; the good performances were few. In fact, this level gradually took him out of Ecuador's national team orbit.
The celestial team put him on the transfer list; his name was rumored for clubs like Atlas, to return to the league in his country, or even to move to Brazilian football. However, none of these options became effective.
