Juan Carlos Osorio's Selection

The selection of Juan Carlos Osorio has seen 65 different players parade in friendly and official matches; however, on the road to Russia 2018, the Colombian coach has put his full trust in seven footballers.

Alfredo Talavera, the only representative from the Mexican League who has not been absent in this regard, has played four out of nine possible matches as a starter.

'Tala' played the following games: Honduras vs Mexico (0-2), Canada vs Mexico (0-3), Mexico vs Honduras (0-0), and United States vs Mexico (1-2).

The European Legion dominates the list of players who have not been absent in the qualifiers for Russia 2018, including Héctor Moreno, Miguel Layún, Héctor Herrera, Andrés Guardado, Raúl Jiménez, and Diego Reyes.

Porto's player, Miguel Layún, stepped onto the field in all nine qualifying matches during Osorio's era, being substituted only in the match against El Salvador in November 2015.

Héctor Herrera has also played in all the games, but against Panama, it is the only match in which he did not participate for the full 90 minutes.

Defender Héctor Moreno is another player who was substituted only once, in the match against Canada, in which he gave up his place for a few minutes.

PSV's midfielder, Andrés Guardado, played in seven matches. He was substituted due to injury in the match against the United States, missing the matches against Panama and Costa Rica.

Diego Reyes participated in five matches, starting in three of them and coming off the bench in the other two. The former América player did not play in the two matches against El Salvador, against Canada, and against Costa Rica.

The last of Juan Carlos Osorio's trusted men is Raúl Jiménez, who played in six matches, coming off the bench only in the match against El Salvador (Osorio's debut) and against Costa Rica at the Estadio Azteca.
