Great job Matias! National driver Matias Zagazeta placed in the Top 5 in what was a standout performance during the first round of the Formula 3 Regional Europea by Alpine (FRECA), which took place early on Sunday at the historic Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy.

"It has been a very positive weekend. For this second race we had a better start, together with my team R-Ace GP we analyzed the mistakes of the first race where we finished in 13th place; and the strategy worked, because on a circuit like this it is very difficult to advance positions, but we remained calm and the result came," said the young driver who arrived in Italy last Thursday.

"Since Thursday we have taken advantage of the time in each practice on the track and luckily we have been improving. We are improving in terms of speed and confidence with the car, finishing fifth today in such a competitive group of drivers is very positive; so now, we will continue working and focus on the next race," said the driver sponsored by WIN 100% Fiber Optic, Huawei, and Sumtec.

The second round of FRECA will be held on May 21st at the also legendary Barcelona circuit in Spain; and the audience can follow the two races of the competition live on the organization's YouTube channel: FormulaRegionalEuropeanChampionshipbyAlpine
