Juventus President Andrea Agnelli Resigns
Following the resignation of president Andrea Agnelli and the entire board of directors of the Juventus club in Italy, the institution's stocks fell nearly 5% on Tuesday on the Milan Stock Exchange. Furthermore, the stocks plummeted to 4.94%, at 0.265 euros, after having lost over 7% shortly after opening, in a market up by 0.23%, according to international media reports.
As it is remembered, the investigation by the Turin Prosecutor's Office, for accounting fraud, and the latest complaints filed by Consob, forced president Andrea Agnelli, his deputy Pavel Nedved, and managing director Maurizio Arrivabene to resign from their positions, during an extraordinary council meeting on the night of Monday, November 28.
In that regard, the former president sent a letter to all employees announcing their resignation from the club. "We are facing a delicate moment as a company and unity has failed (...) It is better to leave together, giving a new team the opportunity to turn the tide," reads the document accessed by foreign media outlets.
