Russia national team news
On December 9, 2019, WADA banned Russia from participating in upcoming championships for four years, including the 2022 World Cup, due to manipulation of the Russian laboratory's database in Moscow. These manipulations make it impossible to verify whether the 145 athletes suspected of doping violated anti-doping rules between 2012 and 2015, which is why WADA considered that Russia tried to cover up the positive results of its athletes. The WADA Executive Committee also announced that Russia would also not be able to participate in the Tokyo 2020 or Beijing 2022 Olympic Games.
On February 27, 2022, when the Russian invasion of Ukraine had already begun, FIFA announced the ban on holding any international competition on Russian soil, so home matches had to be played on neutral ground and behind closed doors. In addition, he ordered that the team had to compete under the name of the "Russian Football Federation" and that it could not display its flag or its national anthem. However, the next day, FIFA and UEFA agreed to completely suspend Russia from all international competitions, both national teams and clubs. As a consequence, the Russian team was disqualified from the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers, the Euro 2024 qualifiers and the 2022-23 UEFA Nations League, and will not be able to bid to host Euro 2028 and 2032. At club level, Russian football club FC Spartak Moscow was also disqualified from the 2021-22 UEFA Europa League and had its status as host of the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League final withdrawn. . Entrenador de Rusia.
After retiring as a footballer in 2005, he held the position of general manager of Spartak Moscow from 2008 to March 2014, a team he also managed for two periods. Between April 2009 and June 2012 he combined his duties with those of coach, replacing Michael Laudrup and directing the team for two seasons, until the end of the 2011/12 season. The 2012/13 season began with Unai Emery on the bench, but in November 2012 he was dismissed and Karpin returned to the position of coach until March 18, 2014, when he left the club.

Although they started the League with only 2 points in the first seven days, they managed to get back on their feet by adding five consecutive victories right after. However, the team then fell into a poor streak of results again which led to Karpin's dismissal on February 10, 2015. In July 2015, he accepted an offer to take over at FC Torpedo Armavir, although he only stayed for one season at the Russian club. In July 2021, he was named the new Russia coach, a position he will combine with that of coach of FC Rostov for the next six months. However, ten days later, on August 2, 2021, he left Rostov by mutual consent, taking charge only of the selection. On March 10, 2022, he returned to FC Rostov until 2026, combining it again with the Russian national team. This is because the Russian team was banned by UEFA from competing in international tournaments in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Selection of Brunei
The Brunei national football team is the country's representative team in official competitions, is organized by the Brunei Darussalam Football Association and is a member of FIFA and the AFC. The team was founded in 1959 and joined FIFA in 1969.
It is a team with virtually no international history and is considered one of the weakest in the world, ranking 199th in the FIFA World Ranking in March 2009. They have never qualified for the World Cup or the Asian Cup. The team could dream for a moment of qualifying for the 2016 Southeast Asian Championship, as it began with a 2-1 victory against the East Timor team, these dreams became smaller after losing by a 3-0 defeat against the locals, Cambodia, finally the team despite scoring 3 goals, ended up losing their last game 4-3 against Laos, finishing in third place.
Currently, the best player in Brunei's history, Faiq Bolkiah, who currently plays for Chonburi in Thailand, made his senior debut at the age of 18 in the aforementioned match against East Timor.
Russia National Team
It is the representative team of Russia in official men's soccer competitions. It is organized by the Russian Football Union (Russian: Росссийский Футбольный Союз, Rossiyskiy Futboľnyj Soyuz), which has no competition after UEFA's veto due to the war in Russia and Ukraine is the best team with no competitions to play according to the FIFA Ranking, being ranked 33rd.
The first match played by Russia took place during the 1912 Stockholm Olympic Games. However, this team played 90 matches (between 1912 and 1914). In 1923, they returned to the playing fields but as the soccer team of the Soviet Union, of which Russia was part and participated in seven World Championships (reaching the semifinal in 1966) and in seven European Cups, where they won the title in 1960. Other titles won by the Soviet Union include an Under-20 World Cup in 1977, an Under-17 World Cup in 1987 and two gold medals at the Olympic Games.
After the disintegration of the Soviet Union in 1991 and the independence of Russia as a sovereign state, the Russian team was reborn in 1993. The Russian team is considered at international level as the successor of the former Soviet team, inheriting its past achievements which, in turn, have overwhelmed the new team, which has tried unsuccessfully to reach the success of its predecessor, which also had the talent of players from other former Soviet countries such as Ukraine.
In its new stage as an independent team, Russia has reached the World Cup finals three times and the European Championship five times, reaching its greatest achievement in the 2008 edition, where it lost in the semifinals against Spain.
On December 9, 2019, WADA sanctioned Russia from participating in the upcoming championships for 4 years, including the 2022 World Cup, due to a manipulation of the database of the Russian laboratory in Moscow. Such manipulations make it impossible to check whether 145 of the 298 suspected sportsmen violated anti-doping rules between 2012 and 2015, so WADA considered that Russia tried to cover up possible positives of its athletes. The WADA Executive Committee also announced that Russia would also be ineligible to participate in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the 2022 Beijing Olympics.
On February 27, 2022, with the Russian invasion of Ukraine having begun, FIFA would announce a ban on holding any international competitions on Russian soil, with home matches having to be played on neutral ground and behind closed doors, further ordering that the national team would have to compete under the name “Russian Football Federation” and without the possibility of displaying its national flag or anthem.
However, the following day, FIFA and UEFA agreed to suspend Russia from all international competitions, both at national and club level. As a result, the Russian national team ended up being disqualified from the qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, the qualifiers for Euro 2024 and the UEFA Nations League 2022-23, in addition to being barred from bidding to host Euro 2028 and 2032.
At the club level, Russian soccer club FC Spartak Moscow also ended up being disqualified from the UEFA Europa League 2021-22 and stripped of its hosting status for the UEFA Champions League Final 2021-22.7 Since then, the Russian national team has played friendly matches against Asian allied countries.
