Ariana Orrego became the first Peruvian gymnast to participate in the Olympic Games. She considers her experience "a dream," and she doesn't hide it. "I can't believe I already competed." In Rio, Ariana Orrego trained very close to the brilliant American gymnast Simone Biles, who won four gold medals. In the interview, she will share some details about that moment.

A fall during her participation in the uneven bars of rhythmic gymnastics at Rio 2016 left the Peruvian Ariana Orrego out of the competition.

Despite not having a chance in the competition, the national gymnast was happy for her first Olympic Games. Orrego felt at home in Brazil, where she was constantly cheered on by her family and friends.
