How much is the Winter Bonus?

This contribution is $60,000 pesos, and it is intended to help the elderly, especially those who receive a pension equal to or less than $201,677 pesos.

When is the Winter Bonus delivered?

How is the Winter Bonus paid?

The method of delivering the financial support depends on the choice made by the retiree. It can be either a deposit to their RUT account or going in person to the locations designated by the Government (the elderly person has a period of one year to do so).

Who receives the Winter Bonus?

  • Pensioners from the Social Security Institute, the Labor Security Institute, the Pension Funds, and the Employer Mutual Funds of Law No. 16,744, whose pensions are lower or equal to the minimum old-age pension value set forth in Article 26 of Law No. 15,386, for pensioners aged 75 or older, at the time of benefit payment.
  • Pensioners of the system established in Decree Law No. 3,500 of 1980, who are receiving minimum pensions with state guarantee, in accordance with Title VII of said legal body.
  • Pensioners of the system established in the aforementioned Decree Law who are receiving a solidarity old-age pension contribution, whose pensions are lower or equal to the minimum old-age pension value set forth in Article 26 of Law No. 15,386, for pensioners aged 75 or older, at the time of benefit payment.
  • Beneficiaries of the universal guaranteed pension, provided they are not entitled to any other pension under any pension scheme.
  • Pensioners of any pension scheme who, in addition, are receiving a universal guaranteed pension and whose pensions are lower or equal to the minimum old-age pension value set forth in Article 26 of Law No. 15,386, for pensioners aged 75 or older, at the time of benefit payment.
