On Wednesday, Spain faces Costa Rica in the Qatar 2022 World Cup and, on their part, Ferrán Torres sealed the 3-0 victory through a penalty in the first half of the match played at Al Thumama stadium.
The goal came in the 31st minute after Pedri passed the ball to Jordi Alba, who passed it into the 'tica' area where Duarte committed a foul on him from behind to stop him. The referee deemed it a penalty and Ferrán Torres was in charge of taking the shot from the twelve-yard spot.
Facing Keylor Navas' goal, the Spanish forward decided to shoot low to his left side, while the Paris Saint Germain goalkeeper dove the other way and couldn't save the shot.
So far, Spain leads 3-0 with goals from Dani Olmo, Marco Asensio, and Ferrán Torres against Costa Rica in Matchday 1 of Group E in the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
