Less than three weeks before the most anticipated soccer tournament, Qatar 2022, the Costa Rican National Team announced the players who will be part of Luis Fernando Suárez's squad for the competition.

In a press conference, the coach of the Costa Rican team announced the players who will represent Costa Rica. There are three goalkeepers, nine defenders, eleven midfielders, and three forwards.

"The good thing about this team is that it's a good mix, with experienced players committed and players with very little experience but eager to learn. That's important," Suárez said in a press conference.
Goalkeeper Keylor Navas is the main figure of a team that aspires to repeat the feat of Costa Rica achieved in Brazil 2014, when they reached the quarterfinals.
From that historic football event for Costa Rica, besides Navas, there are defender Óscar Duarte, midfielders Celso Borges, Bryan Ruiz, and Yeltsin Tejada, and forward Joel Campbell.
