Double in the QS 5000, the highest event in the category - Qualifiers Series - against Brazilian rivals. First, it was Daniella who took advantage of an error by Luana Silva - a surfer who was on the World Circuit this year - to gain an advantage.
The Brazilian committed an interference, which is sanctioned by counting only one wave and not two, as is the criterion. The national representative defeated Silva with 13.10 points to 6.33.
"All the girls were at a very high level. I tried to give my best. I was in the heat 100%. Even if I didn't adapt as well to the wave as I would have liked at first, things worked out and I'm super happy to put Peru on the podium and win the event. I thank the Peruvian team, my family," said an emotional Rosas, for the World Surf League.
But that's not the only thing worth noting. In the Junior category, Sol Aguirre reached the final and finished third, while Mafe Reyes and Sebastián Cárdenas reached the longboard finals. They finished in second place.
