This spectacular goal went viral and is proposed as a candidate for the Puskas Award
In social networks, spectacular goals scored around the world are shown and one of them belongs to Davi Luiz Gomes, a 12-year-old boy who plays for Esporte Clube União, from the municipality of Bela Vista de Minas (Brazil).
In the video, which is sweeping in views, you can see the young player eluding opponents by passing the ball over their heads and defeating the opposing goal with a sensational right foot shot.
In a match played for the Sub-12 Regional Cup at the Comercial de Nova Era field, Davi Luiz Gomes controlled the ball with his chest and dribbled past three opponents with 'nutmegs', the last two without the ball touching the ground, while his finish came in the form of a volley.
After the match, which ended in a 2-2 draw against Comercial, Davi spoke to the local press.
"At that moment, when I gave the first nutmeg, I already thought about the next one, then the next one came, tangled everything. I didn't know they were recording it. A teammate of mine recorded it. I thought it was a normal goal, but after watching it I said, 'now let's go'. I have the dream of being a player and I seek to reach the highest level," said the young boy.
