10 Presidents Meet to Discuss World Cup Qualifiers

The 10 presidents of the associations that make up the South American Football Confederation held a meeting with the head of the world football governing body to finalize details of the qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.

According to a statement from CONMEBOL, Infantino expressed FIFA's willingness to ensure that all teams arrive at these competitions on equal terms.

In this regard, the organization's top executive assured compliance with current regulations regarding the release of players by clubs in favor of national teams.

The dates for the first qualifying matches, October 8 and 13, were ratified at the meeting. Paraguay will make its debut on Tuesday, October 8, at the Defensores del Chaco stadium, against Peru.
