In recent days, contacts between Barcelona and Juventus have intensified to discuss the exchange of some players or possible operations. And one of the names that the Italians have put on the table is Mattia De Sciglio, an Italian right-back who was closely followed by the Barcelona team and who could now arrive to cover a position in which the team is struggling.
According to the newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona has acknowledged the offer from Juventus and the option is not disliked. Mattia De Sciglio is a 27-year-old right-back who is known in Italy as 'El pequeño Maldini', because even though he is right-footed, he can play very well as a left-back, just like the legendary former defender Paolo Maldini. The Technical Secretariat has many reports on this player, especially from the time he was at AC Milan, where he showed his best version. However, he has not performed at his best at 'Vecchia Signora' and has only played 34 matches.
Barcelona doesn't dislike the idea of having Mattia De Sciglio, but they want to know at what price they could sign him. The first option is still Joao Cancelo from Manchester City, but there have been no major advances in the operation so far. Thus, the offer from Juventus is still on the table and with the lack of money in the club's coffers, signing De Sciglio would end up being one of the most economical options.
