One of Barcelona's tasks for the next season is to get rid of midfielder Ivan Rakitic, who has several suitors and one of the most interested is Sevilla, the team that had him before he joined Barcelona.
The operation is not entirely complicated. Barcelona wants 20 million euros for the Croatian, but Sevilla is not willing to pay that amount. Therefore, the Andalusian team is planning how to reduce the operation to have the 32-year-old midfielder, and there are two options: significantly lowering his salary or including players in the transfer.
Sevilla knows that there are two players from their squad that Barcelona really likes. Both are central defenders. The first one is Frenchman Jules Koundé, who has been followed by Barcelona's Technical Secretary. The other player is Brazilian Diego Carlos, who has been offered by his agents and could now arrive at Camp Nou.
