FC Barcelona: Aleñá presents himself with Real Betis where he could continue after his loan
The midfielder Carles Aleñá, presented this Wednesday as a new player for Real Betis, whom he joins on loan from FC Barcelona until the end of the season, highlighted that he hopes to spend "six months of glory", although he did not rule out continuing in the future despite the absence of a purchase option in the contract.
The Catalan footballer, 22 years old and international in all the lower categories of the Spanish national team, joined Betis' training sessions last week and even played his first minutes on Sunday in Vitoria in the 1-1 draw against Alavés.
"I'm happy to be here and since I found out about Betis' interest through my agent -Iván de la Peña- I had no doubt about coming here," said the first winter reinforcement of the Seville team this season.
Not counting the Turkish player Arda Turan, who terminated his contract with Medipol Basaksehir in the Turkish Super League yesterday and has a contract with Barça until June 2020, the Catalan team has six players on loan this season. Among them, Aleñá has been the last one to leave.

After the institutional ceremony that took place at the club's sports city, the footballer spoke to journalists and explained that his departure from Barcelona was because he saw that he was not going to have the minutes he wanted to continue progressing.

"I don't know if (Ernesto) Valverde was surprised by my departure. I informed him that I wanted to go to Betis. I had a clause that allowed me to decide about my future," explained Aleñá, who now wants to focus "on Betis and give his best".
