Inter Milan is interested in acquiring the services of German Thomas Müller starting from January, who has lost his starting position at Bayern Munich, claims the German magazine 'Kicker' on Thursday.
The publication, generally well-informed, does not cite any sources but assures that " the interest (from Inter) intensifies".
Müller, a starter on Tuesday in the Champions League in Piraeus against Olympiakos (3-2 victory), had been on the bench at the start of the previous six matches.
The arrival of Philippe Coutinho as the 'number 10' behind the forwards has reduced playing time for the German star.
In Greece, Müller started on the right side before moving to play in the center during the match, as instructed by coach Niko Kovac. He provided two assists but showed a lack of rhythm.
Born in Bavaria and having joined Bayern at the age of 10, Müller, at 30 years old, is a legend of the club, but his level of play falls short of what he displayed in the World Cup won by Germany in 2014.
He was excluded from the national team by coach Joachim Löw in March last year. AFP
