Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best players in the world. Season after season, the Portuguese breaks all possible records. However, he is unable to stop the passage of time. That's why he has already started thinking about retiring from football. The Juventus star knows that his end is getting closer.
In an interview with SportBible, the former Real Madrid player has admitted that, although he enjoys playing football, the idea of hanging up his boots has been on his mind for a while now.
"I still love football and of course, I love entertaining my fans, whom I also love. Beyond age, it's all a matter of mentality. In the last five years, I have started thinking about the possibility of seeing myself outside of football, and also, who knows what will happen in the next year or two?" said Cristiano Ronaldo.
What will Cristiano Ronaldo do?
Cristiano Ronaldo wants to use his physical condition to venture into commercial image when he retires from football.
"I don't want to imitate anyone. You have to be yourself all the time, but you can always pick up small details and take something from good examples, not only in football but also in other sports: Formula 1, NBA, golf, UFC, whatever," he said.
The Portuguese star, who has won five Ballon d'Or awards in his career, has a contract with Juventus until June 30, 2022, and after his time in Serie A, he could leave football.
