After the rumors about PSG's interest in Leonardo Bonucci's services, another of the great European clubs has set their sights on the central defender of Juventus Turin. This is Manchester City, an entity that wants to strengthen their defensive sector to face the challenge of conquering the Champions League.
Following Vincent Kompany's departure, Pep Guardiola is aware of the need to strengthen the central axis of his defense. According to TMW, the current Premier League champions would enter the bidding to incorporate Bonucci, who is 32 years old. There is no doubt that he has the experience and leadership to succeed anywhere.
The highly probable arrival of Matthijs de Ligt, hand in hand with Mino Raiola, to Juventus would jeopardize the starting position of several heavyweights, including Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini. Therefore, first PSG and now Manchester City want to take advantage of the chaos to secure the transfer of Leonardo.
It should be noted that Bonucci left Turin in 2017, all to join AC Milan, but returned to Vecchia Signora a year later. In fact, City tried to sign the central defender a couple of summers ago, at the time he headed to the 7-time champions of the Champions League.
