After the signing of Alisson Becker by Liverpool, Roma started searching for a substitute to fill the absence of the Brazilian goalkeeper, and they finally found one. The team from the Italian capital officially announced the signing of Robin Olsen, Swedish goalkeeper, for the next 5 years.
Roma made the incorporation of the goalkeeper official on social media, who was with his national team in Russia 2018, where he was one of the standout players in the squad led by Janne Andersson that reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
Robin Olsen left Copenhagen in Denmark and will arrive to the Italian team in exchange for 11.5 million euros. This way, Roma becomes the seventh team for the 28-year-old goalkeeper after playing for PAOK (Greece), Malmo, IFK Klagshamn, Bunkeflo, and Limhamn Bunkeflo in his home country.
It should be noted that Robin Olsen is the thirteenth signing for Roma in this season, after the signings of Grégoire Defrel, Davide Santon, Patrik Schick, Ante Coric, William Bianda, Bryan Cristante, Nicoló Zaniolo, Antonio Mirante, Daniel Fuzato, Iván Marcano, Justin Kluivert, and Javier Pastore.
