FC Barcelona wins the Copa del Rey and aims for the Double
The FC Barcelona secured the Copa del Rey last Saturday by sweeping Sevilla in the final (5-0) and now has the eighth Double in its history within reach. A milestone for the Catalan club, which, however, has been accompanied by disappointment in the Champions League against Roma.
This setback will surely lead to several changes in the squad this summer, at least according to the rumors surrounding the Catalan club. But in order for signings to take place, departures must occur, and an article from Marca is now discussing this matter.
According to this source, the Blaugrana squad, or rather its coach, has identified the first four players to be discarded. All of them were left out of the Copa del Rey final last Saturday, and have also been absent in many other matches.
The players are Yerry Mina, André Gomes, Aleix Vidal, and Lucas Digne. Regular substitutes under Valverde, they would not have a place in the team next season, especially considering that new players are expected to fill their positions.
