Neymar left Barcelona at the beginning of the season to sign for PSG. It was said that the main reason was always living in the shadow of Lionel Messi. Immediately, rumors about a possible fight between the two increased; however, they took care of clearing them up through their social networks and by being seen together.

The Paris '10' talked to the TV Globo channel in Brazil and explained how he became inseparable from the Argentine player, generating a friendship that, despite being kilometers apart, is still maintained.

"He saw that I was a little crying because I hadn't had a good first half. Messi saw me sad and started talking to me: 'You have to be yourself. Play your football and don't let yourself be intimidated'", he revealed.

"Whether you like it or not, playing with so many stars holds you back. It makes you a little embarrassed. After talking to him, I started to loosen up, show my football and have confidence. That's when I relaxed, found happiness, and a very big friendship began," he said.

At a young age, Neymar shared a dressing room with great stars. Stepping into Barcelona's dressing room, seeing players who achieved absolutely everything in Europe, could intimidate anyone.

"Lio is the best of them all. Playing with stars like Messi, Iniesta, and Xavi makes you a little embarrassed," he added.

Neymar revealed that he will soon be back on the field. The forward was injured last February in a match against Olympique de Marseille in Ligue 1.

"I don't feel any pain. I'm walking little by little, but I still can't fully support myself. I'm making progress and going to rehab every day," he said.
