Chilean Women's National Team celebrates victory against Peru
The Chilean Women's National Team celebrated with euphoria their 5-0 victory against Peru, which classified them undefeated to the final phase of the Copa America being held in the country.
However, José Letelier's players must quickly leave behind the celebration and focus on their next opponent: the strong favorites, Brazil.
The Brazilian team has shown solidity by winning Group B of the tournament and is also known for the strength of its roster, with their main base and star player being Marta, considered one of the best players in history.
The forward from the Orlando Pride of the United States is known for being awarded by FIFA as the Best Women's Player in the World on five consecutive occasions (from 2006 to 2010). Furthermore, she has already surpassed one hundred goals with the national team and is the top scorer in Women's World Cups, with 15 goals.
Additionally, the green and yellow team also features other established players at the national level such as Bía Zaneratto, Thaís, and Debinha.
The match between both teams will be played on Monday, April 16th. Although the exact time is yet to be confirmed, it is most likely to be at 7 PM.
