Cristiano Ronaldo offered to pay the amount that the Spanish Tax Agency considers appropriate in relation to the taxation of his image rights; however, Hacienda rejected the offer, according to Spanish newspapers.
The Portuguese forward of Real Madrid is accused by Hacienda in Spain of allegedly hiding 14.7 million euros, between 2011 and 2014, in relation to his image rights, according to various information agencies in Europe.
These sources cite that the attack of the merengue team made an offer ranging between four and five million euros.
According to the newspaper El Mundo, Cristiano offered a blank check to Hacienda in order to have the criminal proceedings withdrawn; however, this resource was also rejected.
As explained by El Mundo, the Real Madrid forward is committed to paying the amount that Hacienda deems appropriate in relation to the taxation of his image rights as long as he abandons the criminal proceedings and withdraws his request for imprisonment.
Cristiano "has given the order to transmit the commitment that he is willing to pay the amount that Hacienda deems appropriate", says the newspaper.
