Representatives of Turkish Istanbul Basaksehir and agent Ahmed Bulut, have met today with Barcelona to speed up the transfer of the Barcelona midfielder to the Istanbul club. The meeting, at the offices of the Barcelona entity, has not served to close any kind of agreement and the two parties have set new meetings.

In addition to Bulut and two representatives of Basaksehir, the main executive of Barcelona who has been present at the meeting is the general director, Oscar Grau. The midfielder, with a contract until June 2020, has an agreement with Basaksehir, but it remains to negotiate with Barça, who would initially be willing to do without the player as long as they have a good offer or, in any case, obtain a loan with a series of conditions.

Arda Turan, 30, signed for Barcelona from Atlético de Madrid in the summer of 2015 for 34 million euros plus seven more in variable concepts. He played for three seasons for Atlético and came from Galatasaray. The high salary he receives is one of the main obstacles to closing the deal.

Remember that Arsenal and Atlético de Madrid have also been mentioned as possible destinations for the player, however, things seem to have cooled down. The only thing clear is that FC Barcelona wants to see him out before the end of the month.
