King's Cup with Real Madrid and Barcelona: this is how the round of 16 matchups ended.

Barcelona and Real Madrid will face Celta de Vigo and Numancia, respectively, in the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey, according to the draw held on Tuesday.

Celta de Vigo drew 2-2 with Barcelona last weekend in the Spanish league, one of Barcelona's first stumbles this season.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, had a bit more luck in the draw and will face Numancia, a team from the second division of Spanish football that eliminated Málaga in the previous round.

Deportivo Alavés, last year's finalist of the Copa del Rey, will face Formentera, a third division club in Spanish football that caused a big upset in the previous round by eliminating Athletic de Bilbao, while Atlético de Madrid will face the modest Lleida, which also surprised by eliminating Real Sociedad.

The first leg matches of the round of 16 will be played on January 3, while the second leg matches will be played on January 10, according to the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

Barcelona is the current champion of the tournament after defeating Alavés in the final played on May 27, a result that gave Barcelona their twenty-ninth trophy in the Copa del Rey. The Catalan team is the most successful since this competition started in 1903.

The other round of 16 matches will be Sevilla-Cádiz, Espanyol-Levante, Valencia-Las Palmas, and Villarreal-Leganés.
