FIFA World Rankings
The Mexican national team dropped two places in the FIFA world rankings, with Germany remaining at the top of the rankings ahead of Brazil and Portugal, while Spain returns to the top 10 by placing eighth and Peru is in that group of privilege.
The fight for the top spot is becoming increasingly close, as the difference between the Germans and the Brazilians is only twelve points, although even closer (one point) is the gap between the Portuguese team and Argentina.
The entry of Spain (rising three places) and Peru (progressing two) means the departure of Switzerland (falling four) and Colombia (dropping three) from the privileged positions.
The Spanish national team closed out a magnificent undefeated phase of World Cup qualifying, and the Peruvian team secured a spot in the intercontinental playoffs against New Zealand, achieving its highest historical position.
The next FIFA ranking will be published on November 23rd.
