Mexico defeats Brazil in the FIBA Americas Cup
The Mexican team defeated their Brazilian counterparts 99-76 in the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Americas Cup, held at the Ivan de Bedout Covered Coliseum in Medellin, Colombia.
There were moments during the game when the 'verdeamarela' team dominated by a few points against the Mexicans, but they were able to manage the game and secure the victory.
Following this result, the team led by Spanish coach Sergio Valdeolmillos has accumulated their second victory after defeating Puerto Rico 69-66 on August 25th.
Gutierrez had a standout performance, scoring 14 points, grabbing five rebounds, providing two assists, and making five steals.
This tournament is celebrating its eighteenth edition and has Argentina, Colombia, and Uruguay as its host countries.
