The San Martín University is one of the Peruvian teams that focuses a lot on its youth divisions. One of its biggest successes was recruiting Christian Cueva, who arrived in Santa Anita at a very young age.
The Facebook page of the white team published an old interview with the General Coordinator of the Youth Divisions, Alberto Masías. In that video, we see a young Cueva being shy and only laughing in front of the cameras.
"Christian Cueva will be playing in Europe in a few years. We will surely see him in Manchester United or in some great club in England," Masías said.
Nowadays, Cueva is making a name for himself in Brazil and looking to grow and make the leap to a more competitive league. The Peruvian forward eagerly awaits a return to Europe. He was signed a few years ago by Rayo Vallecano, but he failed to stand out.
