Bayern Munich defender Juan Bernat to be out of action for several weeks due to ankle surgery.

Bayern said the 24-year-old Spanish player was injured on Saturday in a friendly match against Milan in Shanghai and underwent surgery on Monday in Munich.

Bernat, who joined Bayern from Valencia in 2014, has played in 65 Bundesliga games. He has made seven appearances for the Spanish national team.
