Spanish Tennis player Rafael Nadal celebrated on Monday with his fans the achievement of his tenth Roland Garros trophy. Now he will go for taking the first place in the ranking from the British player Andy Murray.
After two years without even reaching the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam, Nadal has resurfaced in 2017. He was a finalist in the Australian Open and only lost one match this year on clay, with titles in Monte Carlo, Barcelona, and Madrid.
Now he will go for an even bigger challenge: taking the first place in the world ranking from the British player Andy Murray. This was unthinkable a year ago when he had been out of action during the grass court season, including Wimbledon.
