Hazard, Lampard, Mikel, Čech, Pochettino, and more! Soccer Aid 2024: Preview; how to watch

Soccer Aid’s back at Stamford Bridge this year after a five-year absence, and just as in 2019, it’s set to feature a gaggle of Chelsea legends, alongside all the usual celebrities, footballers, and other famous faces.

As ever, the match benefits a great cause in UNICEF and will feature an “England” team against a “Soccer Aid World XI” team. Frank Lampard will lead the England management while Mauricio Pochettino, just as last year, will do so for the World XI. Poch back at the Bridge already — and he will have the home dressing room, too, with the World XI winning the penalty shootout contest the day before. Worth watching for some Petr Čech penalty-saving heroics:

But obviously the biggest headliner of them all is Eden Hazard, returning to play at the Bridge without an opposition team in tow for the first time since leaving. He will be joined on the World XI by Mikel John Obi, Michael Essien, and the aforementioned Čech, while on the England side, we will see Joe Cole, Gary Cahill, and Karen Carney. Welcome back, all!
