England drew 1-1 with Ukraine on Saturday in a match played in Wroclaw (Poland), thus dropping their first points in Group C of the qualifying stage for the Euro 2024 in Germany.
The English had won their first four matches. After this draw, they remain in first place, now with 13 points, six more than Ukraine (2nd, 7 points), who have one less match played. The top two teams from each group qualify for the continental tournament.
Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko (26th minute) opened the scoring for the Ukrainians and before halftime Kyle Walker (41st minute), assisted by captain Harry Kane, equalized the score.
For the 33-year-old Walker, it was his first goal with England, on the night he reached 77 matches with his national team.
