The last actor to be known for the final of the Qatar 2022 World Cup has already been revealed. This Thursday, it was revealed that Polish referee Szymon Marciniak will be in charge of delivering justice in the Argentina vs. France match, which will decide the champion of the World Cup.
The news was spread by the Polish Football Association, which advanced via social networks to the official announcement by FIFA. "Szymon Marciniak will be the first Pole to referee the final of the World Cup as the main referee," says the publication.
The 41-year-old referee, who had participated in the 2018 Russia World Cup, has already directed two matches of Qatar 2022, precisely with both finalists as protagonists. The first was France 2-1 Denmark from matchday 2 in the group stage, while his second performance came in Argentina 2-1 Australia for the round of 16.

In addition to Marciniak, his compatriots Paweł Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz have been confirmed as field assistants. The names of the fourth referee and the VAR officials, however, have not yet been revealed.
When do Argentina vs. France play?
The grand final of the Qatar 2022 World Cup will take place this Sunday, December 18, starting at 10:00 a.m. (Peruvian time) and 12:00 p.m. (Argentinian time), at the Lusail stadium. It will be the fourth time that Argentina and France face each other in the tournament. Both teams have lifted the World Champion trophy twice.
