Scandal at Paris Saint-Germain Women's Team
During the morning of Wednesday, November 10, PSG confirmed that footballer Aminata Diallo was arrested by the Regional Police of Versailles after being accused of participating in the assault suffered by her teammate and former FC Barcelona player Kheira Hamraoui, with whom she not only shared the Parisian team but also the French national team.
"Paris Saint-Germain can confirm that Aminata Diallo was arrested this morning by the Regional Police Service of Versailles as part of the ongoing procedures following an attack on club players last Thursday night. Paris Saint-Germain strongly condemns the violence committed," reads the statement issued by the Parisian entity on their social media.
L'Equipe reported that Diallo was placed in police custody after being found at her home. According to the French newspaper, the midfielder was the mastermind behind the violent attack suffered by the 31-year-old player.

This incident is said to have occurred during the night of November 4. "Around 10:30 p.m., she arrived near her house. While still in the car, driven by Aminata Diallo, she saw two strangers with their faces masked with balaclavas appear," said one of Hamraoui's relatives, who had spent the night at a restaurant in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris with her teammates and PSG coaching staff.
The information is that Kheira was returning home accompanied by two players when one of the men who approached her pulled her out of the vehicle and repeatedly hit her legs with an iron bar. After several minutes of the brutal attack, the individuals left the scene and Hamraoui had to be urgently taken to the Poissy hospital where she received stitches in the affected areas.
The aforementioned media outlet states that the French justice system will take Diallo's statement to understand if she had a role in this assault. They also reported that the thugs may have been hired by Aminata Diallo herself with the aim of injuring her teammate.
"There is no villainy in this assault, as nothing was stolen from the two young women who were in this car at the time of the incident. One of the attackers targeted Kheira Hamraoui, aiming for her legs, as if to prevent her from performing her profession for a while. The possibility of internal rivalry within PSG is notably being explored," stated an investigator to L'Equipe.
