There are now just eight days before Juventus officially kick things off for real and get things going under Thiago Motta against Serie A opposition. But before Como’s trip from lakeside to the Allianz Stadium, there’s one final preseason matter to take care of before the attention fully switches over to the 2024-25 season opener.
And that is a little matchup in Sweden against one of Spain’s best.
Juventus will be the final piece of Atlético Madrid’s week where Diego Simeone’s squad have made major signings on the transfer marketed. It hasn’t exactly been the big week on the market that we hoped for on Juventus’ end of things, but for now playing the final friendly of the summer will have to do as we wait for Cristiano Giuntoli to close a number of deals when it comes to incoming and outgoing players.
The squad that Motta has now is very much far from finished as far as we know, and that means things are still going to look rather interesting in this matchup between two clubs who have a little bit of history over the last decade or so.
How will this one go even though it doesn’t mean anything in terms of a result? Well, at the very least we can hope that it goes a little better than what we saw a couple of years ago.
