Little by little the footballers of the Peruvian National Team are returning to their clubs to fulfill the next challenges of the season. So, this Wednesday afternoon, it was the turn of Renato Tapia, who took a flight to Spain to join Celta de Vigo. In this last double date of the Qualifiers, the national midfielder did not travel to Santiago for the match against Chile, although he had activity against Argentina.
As you may recall, the 28-year-old midfielder did not travel to the Chilean capital after arriving injured. The medical staff of the 'Bicolor' performed an MRI on him, choosing to leave him in Lima in order to have more recovery sessions for the match against the reigning World champion.
In this last match, Renato Tapia did not start. After trailing 2-0, with a double by Lionel Messi, Juan Reynoso opted to bring in the midfielder, who took the place of Anderson Santamaría. However, during the 45 minutes, the Celta de Vigo player showed a good level in defense, providing security to Pedro Gallese.
For now, the Peruvian footballer will arrive in Spain and will be under the orders of coach Rafa Benitez. And this Saturday, they will have a tough match against Atletico de Madrid, a match that will be played at 2:00 in the afternoon, at the Estadio de Balaidos.
