Barcelona vs. Intercity: what's next
After this match for the Round of 16 of the Copa del Rey 2022/23, Barcelona will have to face one of their most challenging matches of the season: visiting Atlético Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano for Matchday 16 of LaLiga Santander. The match will be played on Sunday, January 8 at 3:00 p.m. (Peru time) and 9:00 p.m. (Spain time).
Xavi's team is currently at the top of the standings with thirty-eight points, however, only goal difference separates them from Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti's team is close behind, so a defeat in the Spanish capital would mean a possible loss of the leadership.
Meanwhile, Intercity is in a precarious position in the Primera Federación - Tercera División - and if they continue on the same path, it is most likely that they will be relegated to the Segunda Federación - Cuarta División.
